Open Story

Workshop  |  Open Story  |  University Of Brighton

Presented as a week-long workshop and culminating in a symposium as part of the Open Story project, addressing the use of transmedia narrative in an open digital environment.

Working with Level 5 BA Hons Illustration and Graphics students from University of Brighton, a short film and animation project was devised around the now-defunct Circus St Market, creating a platform for the group to work with made physical objects and projection mapping.

The sessions allowed the group to respond to the heritage of the site through short-form motion pieces, developing skills across digital and analogue moving image techniques.

The realisation of the week-long project was a live showcase of the miniature environments and their films, inspired in part by the circus performances of Alexander Calder.
